 Creswell is served by three councils, each with different responsibilities. This guide helps residents contact the right authority directly.

CRESWELL PARISH COUNCIL

Local facilities and community assets maintained or supported by the Parish Council:

Flight Lt. Harry Kerr Memorial
Flags only; not maintenance of the memorial.

Capt. Perrin Memorial
Maintenance of the memorial and flags.

Creswell Grove bus stop
The Parish Council is responsible for the bus shelter.

Other Parish Council responsibilities

• Maintenance of parish defibrillators and bleed kits.

• Additional financial contributions towards grass verge maintenance. The Parish Council is not the authority ultimately responsible for the verges.

STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

Countywide services, including:

• Highways, roads, pavements, potholes and road safety
• Street lighting and highway-related vegetation
• Public transport and supported bus services
• Schools, education, admissions and school transport
• Children’s services and adult social care
• Libraries and household waste recycling centres (tips)
• Trading standards, public rights of way and certain flood-risk responsibilities

The Parish Council cannot direct the work of Stafford Borough Council or Staffordshire County Council. Reporting a problem directly to the responsible council helps it reach the appropriate service team without unnecessary delay.
